Dallas Bridal Photography

A Dallas bridal photography session at this stunning chapel was a dream come true! The high wooden beams throughout and the floor to ceiling windows are a huge bonus. The windows facing out to the woods really creates a surreal feeling in the chapel. Bringing the best of both worlds, nature and architecture. Soft greens behind a bride creates really pretty contrast in images. The architecture in chapels can really help bring some drama to bridal photography. I am especially fond of getting wide shots where the bride is centered in the shot.

There are so many benefits to booking a bridal session! I really enjoy when a bride wants to shoot her bridal session in the same venue that the wedding will be taking place. Booking a bridal photography session is a blessing to your photographer! They give us the chance to master our settings based on the venue before the wedding. I also really enjoy the consistent loo it brings to all of your wedding day related galleries.

Benefits of a bridal session

Having a bridal session is a great way to really cherish the moments you get to wear your wedding dress! The actual wedding day can go by so quickly, it is worth it to have an entire session dedicated to the dress of your dreams. Many little girls dream of their wedding dress and wonder what it will look like, it just isn’t fair to only wear it on one day. A bridal session can also be a great opportunity for a final hair and makeup trial before the big day. It is so helpful to be able to see the hair and makeup as it appears on camera ahead of time!

Mrs. Fender’s Bridal Session

Rosewood Mansion at Turtle Creek Bridals

Mrs. Fender’s bridal session took place at Rosewood Mansion at Turtle Creek in Dallas. The Rosewood Mansion is a breathtaking space with incredible floor to ceiling windows, and timeless charm. With a huge variety of areas to take photos, from gorgeous hallways to the outdoor spaces, Mrs. Fender’s bridal session was a photographers dream come true! The mansion was an amazing spot for Sara’s bridal session to take place, she radiates classic beauty and is the sweetest southern belle. With her simple and stunning bridal gown, Sara looked like an old Hollywood movie star in her wedding dress. I couldn’t think of a more fitting venue for Sara’s bridal session and wedding. I have to admit, I felt a little under dressed showing up in my normal photographer attire of leggings and nikes haha!

The proposal

I love learning about my couples and how they got engaged! Sara and Nick’s engagement story is a cute one! Nick proposed to Sara at Branch and Bird in Downtown Fort Worth in late June of 2019. The proposal itself wasn’t a surprise, but the timing of it was! Sara had planned to have a group date night at Bass Hall with her friends, where vendors were to be serving all kinds of unlimited desserts. Nick asked Sara out to get appetizers before her friend date, and when it was just about time for them to leave the restaurant, Nick asked Sara to go check out the views. Branch and Bird is on the 12th floor of Frost Tower in downtown Fort Worth, so there are so great views! Nick then knelt down on one knee and asked the question! Sara said yes, and she told me she knew she would be happy when it happened, but had no idea the extent of the joy that she would feel!

I just love their proposal story, it fits them and you can tell how much they adore each other. I cannot wait to share more about Sara and Nick’s love story when I post their wedding blog soon!

Mrs. Austin | Bridal Session | Flower Mound, Tx | Dallas Fort Worth Wedding Photographer

I have been waiting on pins and needles to share sweet Kenzie’s bridal session. I knew from her adorable personality and love for details that she would pick an amazing dress and have a few extra things to make her bridals super special. I definitely wasn’t disappointed! Her gorgeous, lace, fitted gown from Providence Place fit her like a glove. She also brought along the perfect boho hat and cathedral veil. I added the peacock chair and we were good to go.

The woodsy park complimented her session beautifully and even went perfectly with the theme of her wedding (it was yesterday and utterly gorgeous, I can’t wait to share).

I always recommend bridal sessions to my future brides! I love them! I know it’s more of a southern thing and sometime we don’t always want all the attention on just us but it’s so magical being able to get all dolled up in your gown more than once and feel like a princess.

Here are a few of my favorite photos from the session.

Desiree + Chris | Engagement Session | Dallas, Tx | Dallas Fort Worth Wedding Photographer

I’m so thrilled to finally share this engagement session for more than one reason. One, I met Desiree back in middle school and it’s the most fun getting to witness people you’ve known since your awkward teenage years, majorly glow up and get engaged. I mean yeah, it makes me feel hella old but it’s still pretty awesome. Especially when they hire you to shoot their wedding (insert celebration emoji here)!! Two, it’s in a bowling alley y’all. Need I say more?

Desiree and Chris’ love story began with a Facebook poke about a decade ago. Friends first and then with a graduation from the friend zone in 2015, they were official. They love to travel, hence the romantic proposal in Rome, breweries, and true crime (YES). I would be lying if I said I hadn’t been following their sweet, adorable relationship all over social media.

For their engagement session, I knew it wouldn’t be your regular outdoorsy shoot. Not for these two. So we headed down to Dallas for an early morning session at Bowlounge. The super eclectic bowling alley a hop, skip, and a jump away from downtown. The venue was super accommodating and even let us come in an hour before they opened just so we could have a little fun. Shout out to Kelsey the events manager!

We had a blast that morning and avoided some chilly weather. Here are a few of my favorite shots from Desiree and Chris’ engagement session.

Mrs. Grisham | Bridal Session | The Springs Rockwall Manor

I have been dying to share Hayley’s stunning bridal session at the The Springs Rockwall Manor since I drove away from the venue. Of course, I had to be patient and now that Mr. and Mrs. Grisham are finally officially married (the wedding was gorgeous by the way, I will 100% be sharing once it’s done) I can finally show off these bridals!

Here are some of my favorite shots of the new Mrs. Grisham’s session…

John + Carolyn | Engagement Session | Flower Mound, Tx

Here in the Dallas Fort Worth Metroplex we have had almost nonstop rain lately. Good for the greenery, bad for photographers who like to shoot in the yummy outdoor sunlight. Funny thing is, it was consistently on the weekend. Like the weather knew that’s when all photographers are the busiest. Thanks Mother Nature!

So when the rain cleared up, it was finally time to shoot John and Carolyn’s engagement session. The session went perfectly and I think I will require everyone to wear sequins because OMG SO GORGEOUS!

I cannot wait for their wedding at the Marty Leonard Chapel later this month! That venue is on my photographers bucket list and I’m over the moon about the opportunity to shoot there.

Here are some of my favorite shots from John and Carolyn’s beautiful sunset engagement session in Flower Mound, Texas.

The Walker Wedding | Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Garden| Dallas, Tx

Some weddings aren’t big at all and that’s just fine. You only really need a handful of things. An officiant, a witness or two, and a couple that’s ready to spend their lives together. This wedding had all of those plus a little bit more.

It seems only fitting that since I’ve been with them from the very beginning, from the maternity to the bridals,  that I would be there for Stephen and Samantha’s beginning as man and wife.

They say that rain on your wedding day is a sign of good luck, well if that’s true, then these two are set forever.

Here are some of my favorite moments from the Walker wedding on August 11, 2018 at the Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Gardens.

Congratulation y’all!

Mrs. Walker | Bridal Session | Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Garden

Mr. and Mrs. Walker finally said their vows this weekend in a beautiful, intimate ceremony at the Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Garden in Dallas, Tx. Even though it rained 90% of the day, as soon as Samantha saw Stephen at the end of that isle nothing else mattered. Her words exactly.

Now that the wedding is over, I can finally share this gorgeous bridal session I shot with Samantha and her two girls, Kaylee and Teagan, last month at the same venue.

Here’s are a few of my favorite photos from the new Mrs. Walker’s bridal session. Stay tuned for the wedding blog in a few weeks!

The Dollar Wedding | Historic 512 | Fort Worth, Tx

Would you believe it all started at a Buffalo Wild Wings? Not really where fairy tales usually begin but this one did. One boy, two twin boys, a Time Square engagement later and here we are. Chelsea and Scott’s wedding day!

It was shaping up to be a beautiful April Sunday at the Historic 512 in Downtown Fort Worth. Chelsea and her bridesmaids were finishing their last minute touch ups. Scott was hanging out with the guys, including their three little guys, Maddok, Hatton, and Maxxon. Then came time for the dress, it was a beautiful mermaid gown with intricate lace detail and a high neck. It was perfection on her. I still remembered every detail from our bridal session a couple of months before. I watched as Chelsea floated around the room helping all of her girls get ready. Eyeliner. Hair. Lipstick. Even doing her own.

While Scott and the boys had some traditions of there own to share…

In the middle of the wedding party photos, Scott and Chelsea took a moment together to just be. To say hello. To take in the day that they become a family. It was probably the sweetest moment I’ve ever witness at a wedding. Sometimes a little breather is needed during the craziness to breath together.

And before we knew it, it was time to walk…

Thank you so much to Chelsea and Scott for choosing me to capture this special day for you. It was gorgeous, so full of wonderful memories, and joy. I’m so glad that I got to be a part of it all. Congratulations to the new Dollar family!

Here are some more of my favorites of the day…

Mrs. Dollar | Bridal Session | Keller, Tx

The met the future Mrs. Dollar for the first time in person on a beautiful day in February. The perfect day for bridals. As a mother of 3 itty bitties and planning a wedding, Chelsea was super busy so we hadn’t been able to get together before this. Completely understandable! Planning a wedding is hard.

Chelsea’s mom Keri and her maid of honor Cortney came along to our session because wedding dresses are hard y’all. I can’t tell you how excited I was to see her put on this amazing lace mermaid gown with its high neck and gorgeous details. It was perfection and fit her like a dream. It was paired with an adorable pair of vintage heels. We had the best time exploring the park in Keller and finding the most amazing light for these bridal photos. I’m so happy to finally be able to share them because the Dollars are MARRIED as of April 9th! I cannot wait to blog their beautiful wedding at the Historic 512 in Fort Worth. In the meantime, here are my favorite photos from Chelsea’s bridal session!

Check back here soon for a blog post all about the Dollar wedding!
