Fort Worth Engagement Session

Sierra and Davis had their Fort Worth Engagement session out at Eagle Mountain Park on the most perfect day! Even with a bunch of wind, and it being a little bit chilly, these two were so full of joy! Not to mention we got the most incredible sunset at the end of their session. I had the best time capturing these images for Sierra and Davis! We had to reschedule their original date because it was only twenty degrees outside that day and I am so glad that we did. I would love for every session to have backlighting like this.

Sierra and Davis

Sierra and Davis got engaged while on vacation in Gulf Shores, Alabama in August of 2020! Davis proposed to Sierra with a family heirloom ring, which he had custom fit just for her. Those kind of special details melt my heart! These two are high school sweethearts, the ultimate love story! Sierra loves her cats, playing the piano, and spending quality time watching movies at home with Davis. Davis is passionate about cars and loves working out. Their chemistry is so sweet and I just adore them together!

When talking about what their vision for their engagement session was, Sierra just knew that she wanted it to be romantic! Simple sunset vibes at this gorgeous park in Fort Worth fit their personalities so well. Eagle Mountain Park is a favorite location of mine because it has so many unique looking backgrounds all in one location! Eagle Mountain Park also seems to always get the best lighting at sunset time year round which is every photographers dream!

Engagement outfit choices

I have to give these two props for picking such great outfits for their Fort Worth engagement session! Neutrals with lots of texture are always a good fit for an outdoor session. I especially loved their second look for its colors and subtle yet striking patterns. I always recommend a casual oufit and a formal outfit for these sessions to have nice variety. Kudos to Sierra and Davis for bringing their style and rocking it!

Kaylee + Patrick | Engagement Session | Plano, Tx

Fun Fact: Did you know I was born on a pretty lucky day? Saint Patrick’s Day! So I’m basically a lucky charm you guys. Look it up. Science. Hahahaha!

Kaylee and Patrick are getting married just ONE day before my birthday next year at the gorgeous Cross Creek Ranch in Parker, Tx. How lucky am I to be shooting it for them?! Judging by this amazing engagement session (they were so fantastic), it’s going to be a beautiful wedding with two very in love people.

It was so hard to narrow down, but here are some of my favorite moments from their engagement session.

The Davis Wedding | The Springs Event Venue | Weatherford, Tx

The end of 2017 was insanity. So many sessions, so much editing, and so many WEDDINGS! Not to mention being super pregnant at the time definitely made it a tad bit more challenging. Now that we are well into 2018, and Baby Daphne is finally here, I can enjoy a little breather and blogging time!

Sandy and Joshua were married at The Springs Event Venue in Weatherford, Tx. It had been rainy and cold the week before but this particular Sunday was sunny, gorgeous, with a little bit of a chill in the air.

Pulling up to the venue, I was immediately excited because of how beautiful it was. The decorations were perfect for a winter wedding. A little rustic but oh so chic and whimsical. The bride and groom, looked like two lovebirds out of a fairy tale.

Congratulations to the new Mr. and Mrs. Davis! Thank you so much for letting me be a part of your big day!

The Ayala Wedding | Oak Water Ranch | Granbury, Tx

It was the perfect October day for a wedding at the gorgeous Oak Water Ranch in Granbury, Tx. I was so excited that the day had finally come for Alexis and Edric, the sweetest couple imaginable. I arrived early to scope out the place and saw all of the wonderful engagement photos we took together back in January displayed on every table in the room. You can see that adorable session here actually! We had a blast on that super cold morning.

All of the flowers, decorations, and tiny details were perfect. The greens and reds were beautiful together. The bouquet…to die for! And OMG, that DRESS! (Alexis, you were gorgeous).

The wedding went off without a hitch, minus some crazy winds earlier in the day. From the first look to the last dance. The ceremony was traditional but sweet and afterwards everyone had so much fun partying the night away under the stars. The perfect day. Congratulations you to the new Mr. and Mrs. Ayala! It was such an honor to play a small part of your love story!

Here are some of my favorite moments from that day…

Alexis + Edric | Engagement Session | McKinney, Tx

It was a windy Sunday morning in January at the gorgeous McKinney Cotton Mill and I was sitting in my car enjoying my breakfast. A Lara Bar and bottle of water. Don’t judge, it was 8am and I’m pretty sure stoves don’t work before 8am.

Sitting in front of the beautiful building was a little daunting and exciting. So many possibilities!

Alexis and Edric arrived not too long after I did and we went on a little tour with the grounds man. This amazing venue hosts weddings and parties and even some pretty neat office space. I have to admit, I was a little jealous of the accommodations! The two engaged love birds seemed to love it as much as I did and we got started with the engagement session.

Alexis first contacted me last fall and it wasn’t long after that, that we got together with her fiancé, Edric, to discuss their October wedding. Still a year away, I could tell right away that the future Mrs. Ayala was just as organized as I am. Needless to say the meeting went fantastic and I will be shooting their beautiful wedding later this year.

Back to The Cotton Mill, well…it was gorgeous and everything my little photographer heart could have imagined it to be. Not to mention I had an adorable couple that made my job ridiculously easy.

Here are some of my favorites from this session…

I can’t wait for October y’all!
